OUR HISTORY

John & Maleena (Co-founders)

The Triumph Alliance (TTA) was founded nearly six years ago in June 2015 by two couples: (1) Prof. John Asafo-Adjaye and Dr Maleena Imbeah and (2) Isaac & Eli Dzakpata and hosted in the premises of John & Maleena at their Mount Ommaney residence, in their western suburb of Brisbane Queensland – Australia. These four were motivated to start this charity in effort to do something about the distressing media stories of young Africans dying at sea while trying to reach ‘greener’ pastures in the advanced world.

On 31 March 2016, the inaugural CEO, Mr Isaac Dzakpata stepped down as the CEO of TTA in order to focus on some matters of professional development and other aspects of his work within the leadership team. Dr Maleena Imbeah duly accepted the role as the new CEO. Mrs. Eli Dzakpata resigned as Secretary, for family reasons. Mr Dzakpata agreed to act as Secretary in the interim. Isaac now leads as the organisation CEO after John and Maleena relocated to Ghana in 2018.
